Links for a day…(vol. 35)
Hi, its been a while. All pretty quiet on the FNM front but here’s our latest digest. We still hope to revamp the site a little ahead of the South American dates but we’ve been a little busy with the day job and getting engaged and what have you. But the site will have a new lick of paint in the next month or so.
- Stubbadub have the details of the latest Patton project here.
- Chuck Mosley will play the CMJ Festival in New York later this month.
- More Chuck news. The former FNM front man interviewed on Talking Metal. Check out the story on Blabbermouth.
- More side project news for Bill Gould, who will be guesting on the new album from UK metal band Benediction. More here.
- And yet more from Blabbermouth. We pointed you to some pro-shot Area 4 footage a few weeks ago and they have more here.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbObujRjo8Y&feature=player_embedded] - A reminder that you can still vote for Faith No More as Band of the Year in the Classic Rock magazine Roll of Honour awards. Vote here.

- Sorry for the lack of updates lately but a) it has been quite and b) I’ve been very busy. The site will get a new lick of paint and update over the next month or so when I find time.
- Some pro-shot footage of FNM at Area 4 on WDR TV now up on YouTube.
[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4rUiSj9D-I] - More here and here and here.
- Stubbadub has the latest on a delayed release date for Mike Patton’s Mondo Cane project. On Patton’s seemingly genuine Facebook page, he reported last week that he was holed up in the studio working on it.
- From Danny de Vito’s Twitter (via marcus in Comments), a pic of Mike and some of the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
- Latest Chuck Mosley review from Blogcritics.
- Louisville band Lords have a Surprise You’re Dead cover on MySpace.
Faith No More at Area 4 to be broadcast on German TV station WDR
Highlights from Faith No More’s weekend appearance at the Area 4 festival in Germany will be screened on Sunday and Monday 13 and 14 September ( 00.15 – 02.45) on the Rockpalast show on the German TV channel WDR. More details here. (Thanks to yincha in the comments for the tip).
Faith No More to play Frankfurt indoor date
It looks like Faith No More are lining up a SIXTH German tour date on The Second Coming Tour 2009. The Twitter feed of the laut.de German music site reports that the reformed group will play in Frankfurt’s Jahrhunderthalle on Monday 22 June. The gig will be their fourth in four days and yet another German stop. Faith No More have already confirmed dates at the Kindl-Bühne Wuhlheide in Berlin and the Hurricane and Southside Festivals in June and the Highfield and Area 4 festivals in August.
Update. This has now also been confirmed on the venue website. Tickets on sale shortly.
Note: All tour dates wil be updated on the right column later today.
Faith No More announce series of new August dates.
Faith No More have announced a series of new dates for August via fnm.com. Most surprising is a return to England for the twin Reading and Leeds festivals on 28 and 30 August respectively. They have also added two more dates for Germany (that makes five in total): Highfield Festival on 21 August and Area 4 festival on Saturday 23 August. Kicking off this series gigs is an appearance at the Pukkelpop festival on Thursday 20 August. Also in August is the already announced Rock en Seine on 29 August.
It is a shame that these dates have only now been announced as weekend and day tickets (for the days in question) for Reading and Leeds are sold out. Also, the Download date was promoted by the festival promoters as an exclusive UK date so FNM fans would not have picked up tickets for these festivals on the off-chance that Faith No More would be added to the already impressive bill.
However, there is some hope. The twin festivals have an official ticket resale site so check out Viagogo for what’s on offer there.
Update: Rocksound suggest Faith No More will headline the Radio One tent at both festivals.
There is better news for the other dates. For Pukkelpop, tickets are not yet available. For Highfield and Area 4, you can get weekend tickets only. Area 4 here. Highfield here. So while you can get tickets, if you want to see Faith No More on the Friday and the Sunday of the weekend 21-23 (the venues are around four hours apart) you will have to shell out for two weekend passes at around €200 in total. Like for Greenfield, Southside and Hurricane, you have to pay for the whole weekend to see Faith No More.
Better value is the Rock en Seine festival near Paris with tickets at just €45 for the Saturday featuring Faith No More and the Offspring.
