Faith No More returned to the US festival scene in style last night with a short, sharp shock of a set at the Coachella festival in the California desert. Highlights included another Ben cover, a Patton stage dive and a mid-set semi-streak by Danny DeVito.
Faith No More 2.0 himself is too old to stay up until 430am these days and too lazy to get up that early on a Sunday so we missed the delayed webcast, so thanks to all for the tweets and comments on the gig.

More t-shirt inspired gig news (via tbrandao). It appears Faith No More will play The Mann Center in Philadelphia on 3 July.

Faith No More have announced via the ultimate social media tool, the concert t-shirt, that they will play a second show in New York, in Brooklyn on 2 July, preceding their previously announced 5 July Williamsburg date.

Mike Patton will return to the Sudoeste festival this summer but with Mondo Cane and not Faith No More. He plays the Zambujeira do Mar festival on 8 August, according to Blitz. FNM played the festival last year.

According to the Stop the Sound blog, Faith No More will play the Ejekt Festival in Athens, Greece on Monday 13 July.

Faith No More have been confirmed as headliners for the Exit Festival in Novi Sad, Serbia. The band will play the final night of the festival on 11 July.

Blic reports on ticket arrangements: “Tickets for Exit Festival can be purchased at 6,490 Dinars at offices of Erste Bank in Belgrade, Novi Sad, Subotica, Nis, Kragujevac, Zrenjanin and Pancevo, as well as through Gigstix shops in Belgrade and Novi Sad. Festival goers who purchase tickets this way will get a voucher which they will be able to exchange for wristbands at the entrance to the festival area, starting from 5 July. Tickets bought through www.gigstix.com are priced at 7,990 Dinars and can be paid in three or four monthly instalments.”

Leading Chilean newspaper La Tercera today reports that Faith No More will return to Chile in December 2010.

The paper reports that the contract will be signed this month and that ticket sales are expected to go on sale in May. FNM played Chile on 29 and 30 October last year.

UPDATE: Bill has confirmed to the folks at mikepatton.cl that they are in talks with the producers but says that it is too early to confirm anything.

Faith No More will return to Europe’s metal capital Finland this summer to play at the Ilosaarirock festival on 18 July.

The band will play their fourth date in four days on the second day of the festival, which takes place in Joensuu in the east of the country. Other major acts on the bill are Biffy Clyro, UNKLE and Bad Religion.

Various Austrian sites have announced that Faith No More will play the Forestglade festival in Wiesen in Austria on 17 July. Leading newspaper Kurier and a host of ticket sites report that FNM will join Die Fantastischen Vier and The Cranberries on the bill. Gossip, New Model Army and veteran Irish rockers Therapy? are also down to play.
Tickets are already on sale for the event and given that Faith No More are playing at the Gurtenfestial on Friday 16 July we can assume they will be on stage in Austria on Saturday.
