Highlights: There were a few incidents such as a fan invading the stage during Last Cup of Sorrow and Patton taking the stage in a wheelchair while he also gave the audience a choice between “Ugly in the Morning” and “We Care a Lot”. When the audience opt for the latter, Patton complies but not before remarking: “Fucking Assholes.”

Highlight: The band certainly loved it and Bill Tweeted as much: “The Southside Festival was great…the crowd was rained on throughout the entire set, but stuck it out and made the show totally worthwhile”. Also Mike’s exhortation to the crowd: “Go back in your tents and fuck! Spread the disease.”

Highlight: The first appearance on the Second Coming tour of As the Worm Turns has to earn a mention, while the band also had Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails as an interested observer.

Highlight: The mere fact that Faith No More performed at all and by most accounts performed a blinding set. First the area in which the concert was taking place was hit by a bomb scare after some World War 2 munition was found and then front man Mike Patton was hit by a leg injury but battled bravely and dominated the stage with typical Tigger-like ebullience. Oh and the wallet incident (1:20 here).

Highlight: Patton’s perfect Italian had the audience even more in the palm of his hand than usual and hs annointing of the crowd as judges in Italian Idol as he auditioned with Evidence in Italian (including the chorus unlike the previous Spanish version) brought the house down. His “I’m too old for this shit” drew laughs as the band returned for the encore.
