Links for a day…(vol. 134): US appeal, Jon’s SA photos, Wurlitzer, Lego

  • Gun Shy Assassin have issued a heartfelt plea for Faith No More to tour the US:
“You wouldn’t even have to hit the secondary markets. Hit the majors — Boston, Washington D.C., Chicago, Atlanta, Minnesota, Houston and Dallas, Nashville, Tucson, Las Vegas (or Reno, if Vegas repulses you as much as it does me), Seattle, and maybe Boise, Portland, or Denver or some shit — and the people will come to you. Seriously. And you could even spread those dates out…over fucking months if you wanted. It could be like a year-long tour, and you could just play like two shows every three weeks or so.”
  • Jon Hudson has showcased some great photos of the South American tour 2011 on his Facebook page. Go check them out and go Like:

    King for a Day, no?

And not sure that Jon Hudson page is him.

  2. OptionParalysis says:

    Oops
    Thanks for the fix

Thanks to Gun Shy Assassin for pointing out that Minnesota is now a major market. There are several venues they could play here and I am confident they would sell out.

  5. Kevin Merrill says:

There is a new game trailer for The Darkness II out now featuring studio footage of Mike Patton.

Much like the “Faith No Maher” segment on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher a few weeks ago, The Ed Show on MSNBC just titled a segment “Faith Know More.” They have fans everywhere, I tell ya.

  7. lastoknow says:

Kevin Merrill…love that Darkness II trailier, really great to see Patton in action.

I have just started playing this game, I am really enjoying it but jury is out as to whether its as good as the first, a lot of people are saying it lacks the atmosphere.

The dude in my local Game store told me it was a good choice, although he was a bit taken back that I was buying it for myself…a 35 year old female.

Gun Shy Assassin sounds as douchy as one of us, pleading to whoever will listen (obviously not the band)…not really worth re-posting here. I’m guilty of it too but they obviously have there own timing. I think the no information thing relieves a lot of pressure from them, gives them more control, and builds anticipation.

  9. grant says:

    Totally agree, triple B….

  10. shakey says:

Believe it or not, Billy Gould has acknowledged that he reads this blog. How often, who knows? But I believe he does care what the fans think or want to a certain degree

  11. Bobby B Better says:

Yeah, I think he does check up on us now and then and I know he (and the rest of the band) cares what we think and want but this time around they are doing things the way they want and the way that makes sense for them. I’m sure we’ll eventually get some more US dates but I don’t see them announcing a 20 city tour or anything. It’ll probably be piecemealed together like the last 3 years have been.
