The Daily Star, our UK newspaper of choice for their searing cerebral analysis of world affairs, today reports that Faith No More will play Sonisphere UK this summer.
During the course of an interview with American Idle winner Adam Lambert, who will help Queen thrash their own legacy to bits at the festival, the paper casually reports: “Sonisphere’s line-up, which also includes metal veterans Faith No More, tours Europe before hitting Knebworth on July 6-8, scene of Queen’s final gig with Freddie in 1986.”
Faith No More have previously been strongly rumoured to be playing the French version of the touring festival on the same weekend.
It would seem the perfect opportunity for FNM to play a Queen cover wouldn’t you think?
Efestivals are also reporting fnm as a to be confirmed act for sonisphere, looks good to go!
So do we think FNM, ‘Queen’ and Slash IS true…?!

SWEET! I will be moving to Germany in April, so I will definitely be going to this show.
Slash is playing Download. Very doubtful he’d play both. Kiss and Van Halen are strongly linked to the UK leg, though I wouldn’t rule out Blink 182, despite them playing a UK tour around the time.
To be honest as long as FNM play I pay. Let’s have Tool though please. ;-p
Kool to have them on European soil again. Cant wait! Hope the do solo shows! Having fnm on a festival bill is unfair to the other bands! Outshined. I love watching various bands at festivals, but after seeing faith no more i always leave and don’t come back the day after. Having fnm’s always excellent performance in mind makes it impossible to enjoy the bands next day no matter how good or legendary they are. Curse you FNM!
oh how I hope this means they play Sonisphere in Sweden as well.
