Mike Patton wound up his Mondo Cane tour at the weekend with two festival dates, the Big Chill in England and
Sudoeste in Portugal. No reports or video from the Big Chill has surfaced yet but here’s some pro-shot video from SIC Radical from the Portugal date. (thanks to Firsa)

Great job Firsa!!!! He looks like he is having so much fun…..you know there is something to be said about not only FNM 2.0 but also about Mike Patton 2.0 He is still ferocious and crazy and psychotic and all that but he can now have a little bit of fun at the same time…..I’ve seen shows where although it was amazing to see said band…..he looked like he would rather be somewhere else…..I love it…definitely going to see Mondo Cane on the US tour……

That is great footage. I definitely agree that he seems to be really enjoying these performances, maybe because of his deep love of the music and Italian culture. It really shines through.
Exactly. That’s why I love Mondo Cane (aside from my soft spot for orchestrated music) – you can tell it’s his baby, his enthusiasm is infectious. He may have been way over FNM but you can see this what he really loves to do… the next Sinatra (if Sinatra ever allowed his crazy rage out on stage lol).
The MC music is really, really lovely, and I’m glad Patton was able to bring it out on tour. I love seeing artists in their element. It makes the experience that much better for everyone.
That would have been a sight – Sinatra breaking it down and letting loose on stage. Luckily, we have Patton doing it for us now
