also, it was very refreshing not to have some idiot in front of you trying to take a picture.
photographers and advertising are two of the more annoying aspects of gig going these days, and the absence or restriction of both in wrocklaw only made for a more enjoyable gig.
@ David – Yes, but it was not enjoyable for us who had promised to get a review with photos for a proper good reason. The organisers did not make it clear that NO cameras were allowed at all, otherwise I would have tried to arrange the photo pass in advance and chased the useless press people up (they did not reply to my e mails or Karina’s e mails and I e mailed them two months in advance – hopeless!) It was fucking annoying and ruined things for me. I can agree about the irritance of fans filming just to put up on YouTube, I hate that. I can’t be bothered with all that.
Still, all that matters is that I loved the performance. It just would have been nice to have it all go according to plan and get the photos and detailed review written to go with it all, but due to other people’s fuck-ups I got let down.
