Links for a Day…(vol. 67)

  • Relive Warfield! No, not that one or even that one or even the one with Chuck. The whole show from 19 August 1992 is now up on Vimeo (thanks to The Holy Filament).
  • Lusty’s Faith No More and general Ilosaarirock Festival is up at Consequence of Sound. Extract: “Taking the show at face value, there wasn’t anything particularly different about it when compared to other shows on their reunion tour. No new songs were played, Patton was as utterly insane as ever, Bill Gould, Roddy Bottum, Jon Hudson and Mike Bordin held down the fort with their usual determination and strength. But there was a buzz of sadness and infamy in the air, which came to light as soon as Gould announced that Finland was a fitting place “for our last show.” “Forever,” Patton added dramatically.”
  • Onet.pl has a review of last night’s Mondo Cane tour opener in Wroclaw headlined Romantic Mike Patton. The review notes that for the “intimate” show, Patton was joined by seven musicians, a three-person choir and 12 members of the Wroclaw Film Harmony Orchestra.
  • Onet also have a gallery from the concert.

    PS
I’ve again tweaked a few things so the site’s individual posts should be appearing correctly in Chrome and Safari browsers without the sidebars obscuring the body of posts. Can any of you were having problems before confirm that its works now. Thanks.

It’s been realy great watcing all the pro shot videos pouring out over us all from the 2′nd coming tour, but oh how I would trade all of them for just one pro shot vid from 92 or 93…Like this one or Phoenix 93 for instance? Damn!

    Nathan – I totally agree!!!!!

  25. Louise says:

Does anyone have any video’s from Wroclaw last night?

  26. Just A Fan says:

    @Ti Mort

$85, damn! I spent $60 on the Japanese version back in the day…totally worth it! Wow, CDs, remember those?

  27. fernetpunker says:

Jim Martin can play a hell of a heavy metal guitar.

  28. Nick says:

    Ti Mort-
Everything worked fine and the sound quality is amazing! I ve been trying to find these songs in cd quaality for a long time so this def means alot! Thanks again

  29. Integra says:

that 92 warfield vid owns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! best performance EVER!!! they have not played a show better than that. thats it. end of story. that show is IT. if you want to know the meaning of FNM, watch that show. the absolute pinnacle of anything and everything they are or were is that show. try to find a better show or example…you cant. you wont. give up. its futile.

  30. Chris T says:

Totally agree with fernetpunker and that is why the band lost a little something when Jim was canned, as far as live performances go. Not to take anything away from what they did post-Martin (and I fully understand why they fired the guy), but I think they just sounded the best live with him in the lineup.
