MOTHERFUCKERS! Kashmir is my favourite Led Zep song in the world, ARHG and I coulda seen it live… damn you guys!
Thank God they scrapped Reunited for This Guys in Love with You though… it was amazing.
It would have definitely been awesome to see FNM doing Zeppelin. Actually, way more than awesome.
Yeah, strange one. Might have to get to the bottom of that one. I seem to remember the band in general were very anti-Zeppelin in bits I’ve read from The Real Story.
I was also a bit surprised to see it on there for the reasons you mentioned. Very curious…
Totally unrelated …BUT…..I was inquiring about more posters…..and the contact I spoke to said ” We know what the band has planned…but it isn’t our place to say….” Hmmmm….to me that sounds like there is still more to come…….just being hopeful!!!!!
I think “Kashmir” might be a code name for a different song.
Similar to what they did when they used to record. They would give every
song a code name.
ThePetro, I was thinking the same thing. Probably not a Led Zep song but something they haven’t named yet. Today Roddy tweeted “we at camp FNM never say never”. I think we will see a new album coming to life in the near future. Things couldn’t have gone better with the tour and amongst band members as they did in the reunion.
Kashmir?! Naaaaaaaaaaargh!!! My favorite Led Zep song!!!
Arf, just finished to see the YouTube vids and I wished to be there… btw, tbrandao, hope that our boys have heard your prayer, I really hope so!!!
I’m with tbrando and the petro. cant see them rehearsing a fairly dull (for them) cover for one show and not playing it.. perhaps they just weren’t ready to unleash a new track or ran out of time..heres hoping!
@TI Mort A club tour would be great espacialy to the Netherlands!!!!!
Lusty mentioned something about all the FNM suits from the Second Coming tour are going to go up on ebay and nothing quite cements a dead project these days as when you see pieces of it up on ebay.
So I think this really is the end of the Second Coming tour, which is good. I think they could have milked it a few more years and most fans wouldn’t complain, but I don’t think they’re that kind of band. I don’t think they’re the kind of band to play the same set to the same city over and over again.
So onwards and upwards. I wonder what they’ll be wearing for the next tour.
They’re not done with us yet, ladies and gents. There are still, rolling around in their beautiful minds (and probably already on crude demo tracks), plenty more compositions which they’ve been sitting on, fresh ideas, riffs, covers of ballads, samples, and beats to be recorded for the next Faith No More record.
Thank YOUS GUYS IN FNM for The 2nd Coming Tour, yeah! Now get back to a secluded recording studio (like Bearsville, NY was secluded) and work your magic again. Sing and dance, you beloved monkeys, now that you’re back out of the monkey cage!
Lust-hAve you posted part 2 on your blog?
Like everyone else, I certainly hope for more shows and even a new album in the future. But if this really is it? I think I’d be okay with that. And what better way to go out than with The Real Thing?
Kashmir? It’s not really their style to cover classic rock. If a Genesis song had been on there I would be more inclined to believe it was a cover. Sounds like a clue to keep us excited and guessing. They know their set lists routinely end up online. If it was really over I think there would be a definative statement like in 98. The more mystery, the more interest…
