Subway problems, sweltering temperatures and long queues were all overcome by the hardy bunch of FNM fans who attended the third and final date of Faith No More’s three-date East Coast mini-tour last night. The “surprise song” did not appear but consensus seemed to be that Faith No More again delivered a stunning set with old favourites like Worm and The Crab Song getting rare airings.

Reviews:
MTV: “There may have been some gray patches in the goatees and some awfully worn T-shirts in the audience, but Patton — and more importantly, his band’s approach to hard rock — remains shockingly timeless.”
Village Voice: “The show is loud, precise, surprising, and surprisingly great. They open with a Peaches & Herb cover and then play some thrash with a prominent synth-string line. There are moments of easy listening and intense dissonance, deep soul and Vegas schlock. They can’t keep themselves from indulging in big, glorious, and anthemic moments, but Patton’s quasi-operatic tenor always sounds like it’s about to crack up into laughter.”

I’m with the majority. I think the “special song” was the Crab Song.
And if Ti Mort is right, and it wasn’t, and it will be played at the last show… well, lucky me, that’s the only I get to go to!
The Warfield shows were definitely more personal and intimate but you East Coasters seem to have gotten stronger, crazier sets – all in all, let’s hope that all of the US shows show the band that they can bring the crowds and they need to start playing here more often!

Hopefully someone will post the concert (or even just audio) online for download at some point soon.
I still can’t believe I had tickets to both NY shows but I /wasn’t/ able to get a plane ticket before prices jacked up. Seriously so fucking jealous of everyone that went, but I’m really glad everyone who did go had an awesome time, though.
I do believe I know you, Furf.
I can’t even express how jealous I’m. But also glad you guys had such a great time
An audio recording of the show has been posted on dimeadozen. I’m downloading right now…
3dAlex–
please let me know how the recording is and a link. Much appreciated
I don’t know anyone named Jones sry. :O
RE: Stripsearch
There definitely was some confusion amongst the band… Roddy started playing the beginning of Stripsearch while Jon started Chariots… Mike started waving to Jon to get off the riff, and as a result he had to run offstage to get the tool he uses instead of a pick to play Stripsearch. I can’t say I really blame them–they all looked pretty beat by this point (as evidenced by Mike’s heartfelt vocal struggle throughout the song).
Here is the link. You have to sign up first.

If you can’t download it, I’ll upload it somewhere else later…
ATTENTION: THE ‘SPECIAL SONG MYSTERY’ IS SOLVED.
It wasn’t The Crab Song. According to Simone Turkington (Neil Hamburger a.k.a Gregg Turkington’s wife) regarding the Crab Song being the special song via twitter: “That wasn’t even it. Roddy said it was some Serbian song that they are going to play in Serbia, not east cost. Whatever I loved it!”
Well. Alright then.
Neil Hamburguer has a wife!??!
indeed. he’s actually quite normal looking without all the hamburger garb.
Thanks Alex. Downloading as we speak.
I have no experience with torrents. No RAR files available yet huh?
Once it’s done, I could turn it into a RAR, but it would take a while for me to upload 600MB.
Cool Jones- Hook it up! I’m terrible with torrents!! Lol. Hopefully it’s a good recording.
Uploading now… gonna take a couple of hours, but whatever.
The audio of the show sounds great!
Good news!!! Thanks 3d for finding and jones for uploading!! You guys r awesome
Thanks Jones for uploading RAR version. Where are u putting it (rapidshare, megaupload, etc.) It is really appreciated.
I’m trying http://www.wikiupload.com/ right now. Megaupload kept giving me errors left and right.
I’m uploading to Megaupload in MP3 format. It will take like an hour…I’ll let you know…
Maybe my mistake is leaving it in FLAC format, then.
Thanks again guys Ill check back tomorrow for a link! Goodnight!
There you go guys. Smash Mouth!!!!
Just kidding. The show in MP3, with tags. Enjoy:

Thanks again, Alex. Does anyone still want the FLAC shit, or should I just toss that out?
To those responsible for the recording/upload…THANK YOU! I remember the olden days when it took forever to get recordings of shows…not 24 hours! It sounds great…fine work! Where was the recorder standing?
thanks for uploading the show as quick as you did. cant wait to listen to it, being there was amazzzzzzzing.

Worked for me
Found this uh, review courtesy of MOTO. Do *not* read if you are under 18, it will burn your eyes out:

NSFW!
Firsa- I seen that review yesterday and whas like: WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
Yeah, I spotted that earlier today but eas at work so only read first few pars.
To be frank, the premise of the review was a good one but the subsequent article is disappointing. Trying too hard; a real anti-climax in fact.
Seems pretty honest to me
So, how did Metalsucks get their name? Do I want to know?
Agree with u admin. Good idea poorly executed.
Thanks for the upload Alex. Great sound quality. Jones…thanks for the effort. FLAC is great but probably isn’t worth your time if only a few people download it.
You’re welcome… I think “Chinese Arithmetic” sounds great with Razhel…
Yeah, I gave up on it last night, the MP3 quality is good enough.
Glad someone recorded this… will be great to listen to with my g/f when I get back to Florida since she couldn’t be there.
3D ALEX!!! Thanks for the audio!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was at the show and listened to the crab song on the way into work and was getting da chills!!! Sweeeet!!
Still did not get audio of the Chuck SF show. = (
3D Alex, you are the f’ing man!
Nick – any chance you will be doing the same for the Philly show that is available? Thanks Brian
Sorry that was meant towards alex
3d alex is a hero!! Lol. Awesome recording. If anyone spots a good photo of Pattons front flip stage dive from July 5 please post!! Thsnks in advance.
Yes, thanks 3D Alex! This recording is outstanding and I love it that it includes some of Neil Hamburger’s MC’ing (although I must admit the crowd was much more interactive and into him in SF).
Neil: SMASH MOUTH!
Us: FUCK YOU!

Wash and repeat about 20 times.
Yes, Philly audio on megaupload, please!
