Faith No More resumed their Second Coming tour last night in Brooklyn with their first US East Coast date since September 1997. Although the surprise one-off song promised by Bill did not materialise, it was another tight and tremendous performance by all accounts.
More to follow.

Reviews:
Rolling Stone: “With smiles all around and enthusiastic performances, the night ended with the attitude that as far as reunions go, this one seems pretty damn sincere.”
New York Press: “The band played ferociously until the end as if 12-plus years never passed, slowing down the pace with a take on the Commodores’ “Easy.” “Again, you’re looking in the wrong direction,” said Patton, staring at the red, white and blue Empire State Building.”

Amazing amazing amazing. Crowd was great band was on fire and the pits were insane!!! Crowd surfed for the first time in my life during Cuukoo for Cakka !! Can’t wait till Monday
Hello all…
Thanks for the setlist and vids! I remember even as late as 97 when they wrapped up, it took ages to get video from a show…the interebs have spoiled us! I’m bummed that it looks like the audience is facing away from the NYC skyline, though…would’ve been cool to watch the band against that backdrop!
Also…if anyone is interested, I’m gonna attempt to livetweet the setlist as it happens during Monday’s NYC show…if you want to see what they’re playing as it happens, stop by my twitter page (located in my URL)
Any other folks gonna be at The Waterfront Monday? You can look for me…I’ll be the idiot with the huge goofy grin on my face!
WOW!!! Worth the trip from California just for last night. See ya Monday.
Can’t wait till Monday…I’m thinking the one off song will happen then.
Cheers, I might import those tweets into a post on here
No sleep till’ brooklyn!
Any new dates posted on the back of any of the shirts?
What time did the boys go on and play till last night?? See you Monday….
Jtbud- 8-945. See everyone on Monday fir round 2!
they sounded GREAT last night, and i was very pleased with the venue also. i do think they could’ve played a bit longer (they ended 15 minutes before the curfew), that would’ve been just enough time to include a small victory, ricochet and digging the grave.
for people going on monday, they came on the stage around 8:15.
Thanks for getting the vids up so fast. any guesses into what the one off song might be? My guess since Patton posted a recent pic of him with Rahzel that they might play Another Body Murdered with him, but that is a bit of a longshot
FUCKING AWESOME CONCERT! Pissed I had to give up my front row position because I was mere minutes from passing out from dehydration, but maybe on Monday…? Oh well, the camera I had decided to give me a major error anyway so it was unusable.
Hey guys, anyone else who was at the front of the line? I was like the 4th or 5th person standing there haha. Gonna try this again Monday… was an awesome time. Loved Rahzel’s performance too.
Oh, and to the dude who was ahead of me… glad you got to hear the songs you wanted to hear (like King for a Day)!
Crowd surfing is probably the douchiest, most selfish thing you can do at a show. Cheers to the guy up front who was taking people’s shoes off and throwing them to the back.
MONDAY NIGHT FAITH NO MORE AFTER-PARTY (DIRECTLY AFTER FNM SHOW)
FEATURING FAITH NO MORE TRIBUTE BAND- A SMALL VICTORY PLAYING SONGS THAT WON’T BE PLAYED BY FNM AT THEIR CONCERT. HARDCORE FANS WILL WANT TO LOB JIZZ.
WHEN- DIRECTLY AFTER MONDAY NIGHT FNM SHOW
WHERE- SPIKE HILL’S on N.7TH and BEDFORD (next to L train)
Oh man, I wish I was there! I was following the concert at work thru a Google update feed of “Faith No More” (can’t open Twitter or Facebook). Just made me want to be there even more…
My favorite tweet: someone had overheard a teenage girl say, “This is Faith No More? Now I know what the 90′s were about!”
Can anyone who was there give info on how the crowd situation was set up? i see some vids on youtube that look like some people were cut off to the side, seperated by barriers from the main crowd in front of the stage. did they only let so many into the main area? does it depend on when you arrive?
I soooooo wish they’d do some West Coast U.S. date…
Portland and Seattle please!!
~Dan
Absolutely the best, tightest, heaviest show I have seen EVER
this show was insane! fnm are killer!!!!!! concert of the century!!!!!
They played from 8:15p to 9:50p last night. It was amazing. The place is much bigger than the amount of tickets they sell, so there room to move away from the trendy Brooklyn guys with beards chain smoking.
I had only felt like 10 minutes for me! Feel bad for the people who left before the first encore haha.
Hey I was at the gig last night, probably the best gig I have ever been to. Did anyone record Stripsearch? I LOVED that version, Patton’s voice was in great shape. Did anyone post it? Trying to go again Monday if I can find tickets somewhere…
I can’t belive there were people who left before the first encore. That is a shame . They played in Bulgaria last year and the beach was full. 15000 people sang every song they played . They put a song in their setlist only for the concert in Bulgaria . Now i read there were people who left the concert earlyer and i really can’t belive this and i don’t want to belive this .
I can die in piece now.
This show was off the wall. See you all on monday!
Huh. I could swear I also saw shit being thrown up front from the back (I KNOW I saw a pair of sunglasses and someone’s shirt go flying). I am fucking excited for tomorrow! Really hoping I get the chance at front row again. Anyone else going to the party or whatever afterwards? I might drop by for a few minutes.
Reply Justin…
The crowd off to the side was where the beer and food were. U couldn’t bring beer to the front and center area.
Great venue, thank you Brooklyn! and thanks Brooklyn Brewery and the Meat Hook. Best outdoor venue I’ve been to.
Oh and thanks FNM and this website.
Jimmy-
if u can’t take crowd surfing and moshing stay in the back with the rest of the girls. Complaining about crowd surfing while your in general admission close to the stage is the douchiest thing ever. If u ever been to a hard rock show , u should know wat to expect.
I’m guessing the special song will be played tomorrow night and will be a cover of Jay-Z’s NY.
True, if your vagina hurts get in the rear…..the venue was set up with some kind of police fences/barriers but you could walk around them and make your way to the front….I went up after Rhazel and had no probs getting about 10 people deep……btw the crowd faces away from the river
if you go to fnm.com you will see what i mean
Random question – where can you park near the venue? I’m driving in and don’t want to be circling the block for hours looking for a spot. Thanks!
I never complained about moshing. Doesn’t bother me in the least. Stage diving is fine as well. However, I’m not into getting kicked in the back of the head by idiots who feel some need to become a complete spectacle.
does anyone have audio from Friday’s Brooklyn show?
One year ago right now I was enjoying this fantastic show and beautiful weather…man, I really hope that more shows follow at some point.
It’s a crying shame that FNM has been inactive for so long considering how great a show they put on.
