- Poster for 3 July show in Philadelphia revealed via Secret Serpents (on sale 4 July at 10:00 am PST at the Secret Serpents webstore)

- Eagles of Death Metal say nice things about Faith No More: “We just got off of tour in Australia with Faith No More and they are f*****g killer. Mike Patton is a genius. They literally killed every f*****g night.” From a cool Examiner interview.
- Behind the Music: Courtney Love aired on 21 June on VH1 and apparenttly featured an interview with a member of Faith No More, which I am presuming is Roddy. You can – if you are in the US – watch the full episode. If anyone in the US would be so kind as to capture Roddy’s clip(s) and send or upload that would be much appreciated.
- More Roddy. Here’s the pic he tweeted of Imperial Teen in the studio.

- Not sure if this has seen the light of day before but here is Faith No More doing Epic on Arsenio Hall from 1990:

Honest to god…these poster are going to put me in the poor house…but…I ….gotta….I gotta have em ALL!!!!!!!
I love that EODM interview. More stars than a f*****g planetarium!
I love the poster, and not too often that the majority of the crowd arrive for the support act (as did happen in Christchurch, NZ) but FNM did an excellent job in bringing EODM with them and both EODM and FNM completely rocked.
The next poster sounds like it is going to be a different format….I can’t wait to see it…..very exciting…..
She got legs! She knows how to use them.
Slightly dissappointed…but just so everyone knows…..The Alan Moore “unearthing” project that has MP slated to contribute some vocal….well…..don’t get too excited…..it’s 2 tracks from adult themes for voice….so if you are like me and you were going to purchase it because you have an MP collection….you may (or may not) want to leave this off the list….just saying…….
Cheers for the info Ti
No probs Admin…to be exact…the tracks are: Wuxiapian – and – Lizard with the skin of a woman. Yeah, I was all excited and then the wind was taken right out of my sail…..oh well….can’t win em all!!!
anyone know who is opening for the show at the Mann?
I’m guessing roddy will announce it a couple days in advance… that’s what they did with the ‘frisco shows if I remember correctly.
anyone still need a philly ticket? I have a front row seat available. Row AA Pit Left. face value. we’d be able to breathe heavily on jon hudson? doesn’t that sound fun?
I heard it was going to be a FNM cover band… maybe these guys… PleaseNoMore

Let’s hope not…….
**NEWS FROM BILLY GOULD** (via twitter): “We’re planning 1 special song, for 1 performance only in this next leg, though we’re not going to say which show.”
http://twitter.com/MRGOULD
The World is Yours?
Would fit in nicely with the current goings on in the gulf of Mexico, although it’s about Bud Dwyers originally, I believe…
TEAM!!!!! What does this mean…indulge me for a moment…all of their music is very special…to all of us I’m sure…there entire discography is special…therefore what does this mean? They are only going to play said song once? COULD IT BE….stay with me….for conversation sake…..could this be a new track?????!!!! I am so very excited!!!!
Fingers crossed that it’s The Cowboy Song!
yep, hope that ‘special’ doesn’t mean a new cover… it doesn’t look so… special is special….and doesn’t look like any back catalogue stuff could be announced this way i guess… intriguing enough.
Hey kids ~ check out Roddy’s new blog! In addition to a gazillion other very cool things, we have some more FNM tour pics:

Special song? Jizzlobber, played by a pumpkin farmer on a flying v?
A new song is what came to my mind, too… Whatever it is I’m excited to find out!!!
It HAS to be a new song. I don’t think its a new cover, because they played “Ben” for the first time on this tour, and there was no hype surrounding its unveiling.
If it was Jim Martin they probably wouldn’t specify that its a song. When Chuck came out for the Warfield show, they said that it was going to be a special performance.
It has to be a new song. Especially since they know how much us fans are dying for a new album. It would be downright cruel to tease us like this for something stupid like a cover.
Oh, and please, NOBODY cross your fingers for an old track or cover song…we all need to hope a new track…Naysayers are baaaaad juju.
Perhaps a cover of “Subterranian Homesick Blues”, subbing our interview questions for the lyrics (without answering them). Oh well, I’ll still love them anyway.
I’m puttin my money on Perfect Crime. How sweeeet it’d be!!
Maybe Everything’s Ruined? I don’t want to get my hope’s up for a new song. I’ve pretty much given up all hope for a new album.
Steve my man…DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE….I REPEAT DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE……they are going to give everybody a taste of what is to come…if it is indeed a new song…some lucky bastards are going to hear Patton say “here’s one off our new album!!!”….it’s coming brother…..seconds anyone?
Why is the set out of this site stuffed ???? The tweet section is layered over the news so u can’t read the news section or anything down the left side of the site.
Can admin fix this
I’m with Ti Mort and SeanL…it’s GOTTA be a new song. Those lovely bastards are being as aloof as always but it wouldn’t make any sense at all to refer to a new cover song or existing song (be it ever performed live or not–they really aren’t the sort to hold any one of their songs in higher regard than any of the others) as “special.” Let alone tweet about it. Let alone announce that they’re going to play it at one performance. They know what they’re doing–they have all along: they have us eating out of the palm of their fucking hands!
I just hope that it’s captured in pristine audio and video so I can enjoy it over and over until the new album comes out
Not to try and bring you all down or anything, but I think you are all getting your hopes up a little too high on this. I doubt if it was a new song that they would play it only once on this leg as the tweet says, it seems more likely to me that it’s going to be another guest appearance. If you take the focus off it being “one special song”, the fact that Billy says “we’re not going to say which show” suggests that they already know EXACTLY which show it will be, which leads me to assume that there is someone FNM related that will be available to join them for one particular show, which would then make whatever song (Jizzlobber/Surprise! You’re Dead!) extra special due to the guest star (Jim!).
Yeah, it’s doubtful that it would be Jim, but Chuck was pretty surprising too, right?
Anyway, I hope I’m wrong because I would LOVE it to be a new song!
They’re saying that they’re not going to say which show, because last time I checked, the shows weren’t sold out. They want people buying tickets to ALL the shows…not just the one that the song is being played at.
N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-N-NEWWWW SONGGGG
AND, do you really think they would limit a Jim Martin guest appearance to one song? Chuck got 4 I believe, and a duet with Mike.
Its a new song.
It has to be.
…if its not…then my god has forsaken me….
I just don’t get why if it’s a new song or an old one they haven’t played before that they would only play it once? Seems like if they went to the trouble of writing something new or working up one from the back catalogue that they wouldn’t limit themselves to playing it only once. And I don’t buy the “sell more tickets argument” either because all these tweets are doing is preaching to the converted. I can’t see the chance of a “special song” being played MAYBE at the show you are attending drumming up much interest in anyone apart from the likes of us, who would already have bought tickets anyway.
Beyond hoping for a new track, There’s only two solitary tracks (I agree, if Jim were to appear, why would he only do one song?) I can think of that would warrant such special notice. Since the Boo-Ya Tribe are generally west coast, could we be seeing a special Sparks appearance?
totally off topic…but….have you all seen the east coast exclusive t shirt…fucking beauty…I want one…they better put them up for sale on fnm.com
Off current topic as well but I have watched about half of the Courtney Love Behind the Music. She calls FNM’s singer at the time “crap.” I am assuming she replaced Mike Morris or maybe it was someone else? Anyway’s they said she was in the band for a few months. There was a color picture of her playing with the band with the 8 pointed star in the background that I had never seen. Roddy has several interview segments and he explained that in the end they didn’t want the stigma of a chick lead singer. He has some other interview segments throughout about Courtney’s personal life and career.
@Ti Mort
Do you have a link for an image of the t-shirt?
JAF: Roddy linked it on Twitter ~ here you go: http://yfrog.com/mv4anj
A little tamer than I thought it would be…
I’m hoping the song is Everythings ruined although as much as I love that song a new one would be way better! Anyone gonna be at the Brooklyn shows? I’ll be at both if anyone wants to meet up? Ti Mort u going??
Damnit Kory! Now you have me all pumped for a new song. I really don’t want to have my dreams destroyed, but it does seem like a new song is a strong possibility. I guess I shouldn’t doubt anything anymore. I never thought they would get back together in the first place.
http://www.roddybottum.com/blog/Entries/2010/6/29_…_and_so_i_go….html
I still have two tix for Philly guys, if you’re interested. Orchestra A Left 35, 37.
Steve my brother…I knew you would see the light…if they do in fact release a new album and go on another huge tour, we must get together and do it up proper…hopefully you will be out of the barracks so to speak and we can get nice and shitty…until then…NEW SONG!!! NEW SONG!!! (pump your fist) NEW SONG!!!!
Don’t know if anyone saw Roddy’s tweet, but he threw out this info in regards to the July 5th show in NYC….I assume it applies to the other NYC show, but can’t confirm. Billy also mentioned that they had a 10pm curfew since it’s an outdoor venue. So we’re looking at no more than 2 hours with, what I believe to be a hard curfew.
Hope this helps anyone making plans for the show…see ya on the 5th!
Roddybottum-hi matt. Doors 530, James Chance maybe 6 or 630, Neil Hamburger at 7 or 730, FNM at 8. K?
Aw man, I love that shirt! I’m definitely gonna get that for my girl… doesn’t change the fact that she is still upset that she won’t be going to the two Brooklyn shows with me, but still…
