Leading Chilean newspaper La Tercera today reports that Faith No More will return to Chile in December 2010.
The paper reports that the contract will be signed this month and that ticket sales are expected to go on sale in May. FNM played Chile on 29 and 30 October last year.

UPDATE: Bill has confirmed to the folks at mikepatton.cl that they are in talks with the producers but says that it is too early to confirm anything.
They have got to release a new album……
They can change it from the second coming tour to the perpetual reunion tour. Here’s hoping for some more US dates…and a new album of course.
…or the 3rd and 4th coming tour.
And they will…I don’t think there is any doubt.
I think they have quietly been working on new material.
All they guys in the band are down for it with the supposed exception of Patton.
What does Mike really have going on other the FNM right now? The Mondo Cane record has been recorded and done for awhile now (it’s the equivalent of a Christmas album really). I’m sure he will do a few limited Mondo Cane dates, but that’s it. Bill and Jon already have stuff ready to go….
A new album is the only logical step.
Maybe we’ll get a new song at the Warfield shows. A man can dream, right?
I’d love to hear this new stuff from Bill and Jon, though I wonder why it’s just them. Anyway that’s news to me, and good news. Anything to keep the buzz going, right?
Although I’d venture to say that Chile may be the grand finale of the tour; and probably the best finish it could have.

By the time these shows happen, they will have been touring for a year and a half. I can’t imagine them doing this without a new album at some point. Why work so hard to regenerate interest if you are just going to end the band anyway?
I highly doubt there will be a new album. And you are probably right Firsa, if the chile show does happen, it does look like a set up for a grand finale
I agree with Ti Mort!! I really really hope that they will release a new record – and a freaking expected one – but like Gronk, I have doubts (fewer than Gronk but still doubts) about it!!

I am sick of people moaning about the fact that they’re probably doing shows in Chile again, but where else do they receive that kind of obsessive adoration and a huge fan greeting at the airport? It was crazy when they were there last time, they are worshipped like gods over there, but then those fans deserve it the most. It will have been just over a year since they were last there if they go back in December anyway.
I am sick of Chile moaning about the fact that they’re probably doing shows for people again, but where else do do-nuts receive that kind of obsessive adoration and a huge grease fire greeting at the cavity search? It was slim pickin’s when they were fornicated last time, they are worshipped like Girls’s Gone Wild videos’ over there, but then those do nut chefs deserve it the most. It will have been just over a week from last Thursday since they were last there if they go back in plaid stockings anyway.
