After all the angst over the European tour, it seems that Faith No More do after all have plans for more US shows. Both Bill Gould and Roddy Bottum have tweeted that they will play the Williamsburg Waterfront in Brooklyn on 5 July.
Roddy’s tweet:

Bill has clarified that the pre-sale will be on 16 March at 10am ET.
The New York Times is already blogging the story and they have general ticket sales details: “Tickets for the concert, which is being held as a benefit for the Open Space Alliance, will go on sale at noon on March 19 at ticketmaster.com and the Nokia Theatre Times Square box office.”

Sons of Bitches, July 5th!!!! The one week of the year I will be out of town. Oh well this is still good news in hopes that there will be more dates to follow.
So maybe there won’t be a “US leg of the tour”, but sporadic concerts here and there.
They play in CA in April.
Mike has solo dates in Europe in June.
Then they play NY in July and only 3 days later they will be touring Europe.
Not sure what to expect as far as an US tour.

Was there in Dublin, Flying all the way from Northern Maine to see the San Fran show on the 14th, even though my wife will be 8+ months pregnant, she sure is a keeper! Maybe I’ll be able to sneak away for a weekend in July!

My Gosh… I live in Brazil and when they came here last year I was going through a lot of tests to become a prosecutor and I was not able to see their concerts. Now, I am going to NYC by the beginning of June for vacation and they are gonna play there in JULY (one month later!!!!) and I can’t postpone my trip !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I gotta see at least one concert of this reunion before I die. laughs! I gotta find a solution!!!!
There will be a US leg of the tour…. you fellas don’t listen real well. Bill said back in september – october that US dates would be announced in APRIL.

I thought Bill indicated that they were “working on” US dates back at that time, and a few people caught Roddy’s very vague hint that there would be a US show in April… Where did you get your info (unless Bill literally said that to you)?

There won’t be many more US dates people. I thought for sure they would be hitting all of the american festivals (Bonarro, Lollapalooza, etc,) but it just isn’t going to happen. unless a world tour/new album comes in to play…and let’s face it…the reality of the situation is Mike Patton is way to busy, getting older, and has so many other ideas in that brain of his that a new album/world tour just wouldn’t work. They were committed to the reunion…which is very rapidly coming to it’s end…it has been a little over a year…with no new material and other commitments…I think we all need to come to the cold hard fact that this is it!!!! My opinion of course…but it makes sense any way you slice it. Patton projects in future: Follow up Peeping Tom, Tomohawk (their not done), Crudo, Mondo Cane, Zorn project, possible album with that guy from TV On The Radio, the list goes on………………………….ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS PEOPLE!!!
