Courtesy of a a very welcome message from Simon in the comments, I have been alerted to the existence of the superb FNM.com YouTube channel.
The channel features the essential MTV Angel Dust sessions video, an education for FNM fans of course but also for music fans in general on the studio workings of a band on the up. Enjoy Jim in his prime, Billy the musical director, Mike P on guitar, Puffy relaxing, Roddy being kept very busy and the major v minor battle in this seminal 12-part series.

Love the 8 something part interview with young, smartass Patton too. I put the first part up on my blog a few days ago, BD tribute, and to hear him f@ck with the interviewer about his adoration for Right Said Fred, plus FNM’s aspirations to be a “disco band” despite what Jim says, is hilarious. How he manages to keep a straight face, I don’t know.
Also hearing how Malpractice came to have those seagull sounds at the end (least I think it’s Malpractice) is pretty cool. Roddy’s quite the serious dude!
