How many more details can you give about the pre-sale? Everyone is aware (at least those who cares) of the pre-sale. Where are you based? Switzerland? Are you planning to travel to San Fran for the show? No? I didn’t think so. I remember when this site and a few of its contributors kept posting information about “how you better go to Mexico if you want to see FNM because its most likely not happening in the states” …..complete crap.

It’s going to be hard enough getting tix without you posting reminders to the slackers!

  2. Matt says:

I’ll be shooting up from Arizona if I can get tickets before it sells out. Glad the tix are not going on sale on Sunday though…I’ll be on a plane at 10AM. Friday is all good though.

  3. Steve says:

So this is 10 a.m. pacific time, right? I’m also gonna make the drive from AZ. Can’t wait!

  4. SandB says:

Markus I agree totally!!! It’s gonna be hard enough without it getting posted everywhere!!

  5. Barry Mahoganue says:

Well, to be fair, what dumbass knows to come to an obscure Faith No More blog for news, but has otherwise no idea when their tickets are going on sale? Looks like you guys are getting worked up for no reason. It’s not like this was on the front page of Yahoo or anything.

  6. SandB says:

True it wasn’t on yahoo but there are people like me that have waited a long time for U.S. dates and have followed the band for 20 years that want a chance at a ticket. If the presale is released to the mainstream it is likely that “slackers” will get tickets. Not that they shouldn’t get them but the faithfuls should have the first shot!!

  7. Firsa says:

I was the one who kvetched at Roddy on twitter re. getting presale tix outside of SF. Now I feel like a mean stupid person! Oh well, if by some miracle I can make it to the show, I’ll be a mean stupid happy person… Hope to see you all at one point :)

  8. Wanderlusting says:

Well I was prepared to fight tooth and nail for the tickets at 10am – now with this presale, I’ll just be doing the same at 9 am. So nothing really changed.

I just have a feeling that Roddy and crew have no idea how popular they are and hope that they allotted enough tix to the actual presale. This show will sell-out both in presale and at 10AM in less than 5 min.

*fingers crossed* once I know I’ve got them, then I can book the Vancouver to San Fran trip. Re-watched “Vertigo” for the 18th time last night :)

  9. SandB says:

I hope that all this is making FNM realize how many fans want to see them in the U.S. so they do a full fledged tour! If I get tickets I will be coming from Mississippi. I saw FNM in ‘92 at Tip’s when I lived in New Orleans, still have the pictures!

  10. Whit says:

Thinking about Tipitinias makes me smile. I grew up in Louisiana. I bet that was a killer show.

  11. SandB says:

Louisiana girl until Katrina. That show was unlike any other! Puffy was bleeding from the head at the end. He either fell off seat or hit himself in head with sticks can’t remember, end was a little fuzzy!

  12. SeanL says:

I really hope I manage to get tickets. I’ve never gotten to see FNM (I was 5 when they broke up), and it looks like this might be my only chance!

  13. JDub says:

Looks like faith no more is only releasing the password 10 minutes before the presale. This is a good thing! Hopefully they limit it to 2 per person as well. Most people who are gonna try and turn a profit on them won’t know the scoop. Plus the tix aren’t cheap and trying to flip a $42 tix isn’t easy. Those of us who would easily pay $250 for this show are FEW. We will be there at 9am and get ours, don’t panick!

  14. SeanL says:

I hope they don’t limit it to two…I’m trying to get 5…

  15. Markus says:

All i’m saying is….It’s their first show on US soil, in their HOMETOWN, in a 2300 seat theater. The reality is that a good percentage of people are going to get screwed.

If I get through I’m going to pick up 1 extra ticket for anyone who’s not so lucky. I encourage everyone else to do the same.

  16. JG says:

Just checked Orbitz. A flight from NY to SF is $239. FNM Tickets are what 42? So say $300 to see FNM again in their town… Hmmmmmmmm

  17. Andrew says:

There’s people who are going to buy tickets who’ll sell them anyway. Nothing wrong with spreading the news to people who live outside SF and are willing to travel to see FNM. That’s dedication.

  18. Jeff K. says:

Hoping for the same (to be fast enough to secure a ticket or two during the Pre-Sale). I’ll be traveling up from the Phoenix, AZ area as well. Thinking of flying though – if you look now, you can get roundtrip for about $179 or so. Plus, knowing someone in S.F. helps for a sofa to crash on. We shall see. I’m just going to take any chance I can to see them in the U.S. – I’ll even go to Coachella IF they will sell a one-day ticket at some point. I still think FNM will be announcing more U.S. dates beyond this. I just hope it’s a 3 to 4 week leg, rather than “We’re playing L.A., N.Y., and Chicago” PEACE OUT” type bullshit. They could tour the entire country as headliners and play 2,000 seat theaters and sell out every single one. May not make as much scratch as the Download Festival, but jesus – where does the need for the excess cash stop and the realization that you have hardcore fans in your own country who would LOVE to see you kick in? It frustrates me to see the videos of the fans in Europe, especially South America (Peru, Chile, Argentina) they are SO enthusiastic, and in HUGE numbers…I KNOW for a fact we have the same enthusiasm HERE the U.S. – but for whatever reason, it’s not going to provide them with a 20,000-30,000 heads a night gig…..so what? They’ll still get paid. OK, i’m done yapping – sorry people. Shit just gets frustrating – but I should zip it for now as they haven’t even announced the other U.S. dates…..Hope to see you all in S.F. @ Warfield….

  19. Pete says:

Making the trip from new york with 2 friends as long as we get tickets…who’s got a couch/floor for us to sleep on Thursday night?

  20. JDub says:

Lets be brutally honest. This is kind of a money grab thing here, so faith no more’s gonna grab what money they can. If this thing sells out in 2 minutes they will add another show. Plus this is the biggest venue they could headline at their peak popularity. I just don’t see it selling out like a tool concert. Even though a lot of us have been waiting for this for over a decade.

  21. Firsa says:

Hey this is a little OT but whatevs: some crazy guy has been trolling the FNM facebook discussion page, resurrecting the rumor that they are going back to tour Europe this summer. I know about the Pinkpop rumor but thankfully haven’t heard anything more of it. Can we kill this thing once and for all? I’m banking on seeing them at Lolla if nowhere else…

  22. Mick James says:

So JDub, you’re telling me that Faith No More at the height of their fame could only pack out a 2500 seater??? what the hell is wrong with the USA??? They’re playing to 8000 in Sydney at their solo show (which sold out in 3 mins), and about 40000 at Soundwave the night before.

    thank fuck for Australia

  23. SeanL says:

    Woo! I got my tickets!

Its not sold out yet guys, get your stuff!

  24. Steve says:

I got 3! My buddies are flying out from NC and we’re driving up from AZ.

  25. Matt says:

Hey Steve. Where are you in AZ? I live in Gilbert…got my tix today too! Right on!

  26. See you all there – pre-shows beers, anyone? Got two GA tix, so it’s a GOOOOD MORNING!

    Cheers,

    Lusty x0×0

AND LOOK: http://ontheblogbandwagon.blogspot.com/2009/10/faith-no-more-to-play-san-francisco-in.html IT WASN’T BULLSHIT – huzzah!

  27. Jeff K. says:

hey guys – question on the tickets/seating for the gig…on Ticketmaster, mine says Section: “Floor” , but then it also lists a row and a seat…. I thought all the floor was G/A, no? only upper level/balcony was reserved?

  28. Now I’m going to BOTH shows, on the 13th and 14th (and if not the 13th then I’ll sell them to a fan…GA). Think I lost my head there.

JEFF – huh…I’m gonna double check my tickets now, I’m not too sure about that (though I know I picked GA).

  29. JEFF – mine say Seat location: section FLOOR

  30. Jeff K. says:

Yah, mine too…. the email from Ticketmaster after I bought my ticket says Seat location: section FLOOR….. hopefully it’s all good (G/A) – and on the actual ticketmaster SITE, even though it says FLOOR and ALSO lists a row/seat, it just does that by default or something. (since they do have gigs there with assigned floor seating) I’m to assume that floor = G/A.
either way – this place is small enough – i think almost any seat is a good seat. i can’t WAIT!!!!!!!!! flying up from PHX to S.F….. already know it will be 100% worth it. BTW, go on eBay you’ll already see people selling for $250 +…. doh..

  31. awww that’s sad. I was going to sell on Ebay too…but my shoes…to make up for the tickets I just bought lol.

  32. SandB says:

Glad to see everyone is getting tickets! Got two and coming from Mississippi. It will not be here soon enough! Didn’t get floor tickets, TM screwed up when I had them and released them but that’s fine with me, getting to old for pits!!

  33. Steve says:

Hey Matt. I live in Tucson. I’ve been waiting 20 years to see a FNM show! I’m trying to convince my wife that it’s a good idea for me to get tickets for the Tuesday night show too.

  34. Markus says:

Tell her it’s going to be one big show, two nights, covering their complete catalogue.
If you don’t go both days you might miss something!

  35. Steve says:

If it were just my wife it would be easy, but my buddy is flying in from NC on Tuesday, so there’s pretty much no chance of us making that show. I’m gonna try to talk him into leaving on Monday.

  36. Matt Bungle says:

Damn..there’s 3 or more of us from AZ shooting up? Hey Jeff, you’re in Scottsdale? Last tiem I saw them was at the Celebrity Theater when they opened up from some crappy band with some idiot Fred Durst singing…what the fuck ever happened to Limp Dick Bizkit?

  37. JDub says:

In case anyone is still wondering: if your ticket says floor on it you are all good for GA. No worries about the row and seat.

  38. NTSS says:

I got two for the 12th show , I am travelling from Canada.
