Faith No More play the B1 Maximum club in Moscow tonight as the Second Coming tour moves east. The gig has certainly garnered plenty of pre-show publicity.

The Infox agency has a very lengthy preview and career retrospective. The article recycles an old quote from Axl Rose calling Mike Patton “the best voice in America” and has this poetic description of  King for a Day..: “Adult and mysterious, baleful and mystical, beautiful and unrestrainedly despising the tastes of the crowd – it failed to sell in the United States and Europe, despite the rave reviews of the reviewers.”

Kommersant also has a detailed preview. In it FNM are termed “one of the most popular and possibly the best heavy group of the past 20 years” while the reunion is termed “one of the major musical events of the year”.

GZT.ru also have a lengthy preview which opens by describing Faith No More as the “most influential group of the 1990s”. The revival is also labelled one “one of the most symbolic events of the year” and it concludes my promising that gig-goers can “enjoy one of the most exciting spectacles – the resurrection of a great group.”

The Moscow edition of TimeOut also has shorter preview here.
