Faith No More continue with the hectic schedule of their Second Coming tour by headlining the Hovefestivalen in Norway tonight. The re-formed band headline the main stage on the final day of the festival and are scheduled to be on stage at 22.30 local time with Bring Me the Horizon and Disturbed providing the immediate warm-up action.
In an interview today with fvn.no, the festival’s booking director Toffen Gunnufsen revealed how he had previously booked the band for the Quart festival in 1998 only for the band’s split to cause a cancellation. He said: “They are a totally fabulous band, a strange mix of jazz, funk and hardcore.”
pickcadillac (aka Jane) has promised to send some updates on Twitter later.

Ps. RIP MJ. This is a sad day for music. He truly was an undisputed king of pop. Even thought i’ve never really been into pop music i’ve always loved mj. Michael Jackson = Legend.
It was my pleasure. I had the most amazingly emotional night of my life – I laughed, screamed and cried. Completely unreal. I got the message that Michael Jackson was dead just as they did Fuck You (Lily Allen) as an intro to Chinese Arithmetic. Surely a night for the history books,in more than one way. On my way back to the hotel now,so exhausted and in total pain – I’m too old for this shit really. It’s gonna take me a few days to land, that’s for sure.
Hi Jane
Thanks for all the info – I was wondering what that “fuck you” was in the setlist. Interesting to see them change it from Pokerface.
Your experience – “I laughed. screamed and cried … ” – sounds exactly like mine at both Brixton and Download.
Download was 2 weeks ago now and I still haven’t landed!!!
